Oil Prices are Now in Control of Consumers by Reducing Demand

Here are some questions that have "YES" as an answer.

Can conservation and smart choice of energy sources by the consumers be the controlling factor for Oil Prices?
Can the Federal policies shape the future of energy use in America?
Can the fight for Climate change also save the environment?
Can we continue to keep the Price of oil down and one day make it an unnecessary fuel?
Can Free natural resources of Wind, Sun and Water be the sustaining solution for us all?
Can the financial incentives by Federal and State governments encourage our shift to renewable energy?

We the consumers have a choice and we should try everything we can do to be Energy Independent.

Better days are ahead if we take the right path and kick the oil habit.

Energy Independence is Earth day message!

Earthday 2012 has special message and hope for America to seek energy independence. Let us resolve to make our oil import zero by 2020. New cars running on natural gas are coming to help live with our own resources and not use gasoline.
I have driven my 2004 Prius for over 230,500 miles. Now I am ready to take delivery of my plug in hybrid Prius next week. Hopefully my commute to the office will be on electric using the night time recharging. Better days are ahead for us as we learn to conserve energy and develop new green power sources at the consumer sites.
Earthday 2013 will be better with application of Green technologies in sustainable green communities.

Nature Gifts are for us to become Energy Independent

It was nice to meet a young public works official for a small Village that has enthusiastically embraced the idea of Green. It is easier for the next generation to understand how our financial problems need ways to reduce costs and energy plays an important role. This superintendent of public works brought in maps to show old dump sites as potential for solar power installation and suggested the water tanks on the highest point for a wind mill. As we talked about micro hydro power he took us to a Village park site where three sluice gate sites already exist and may be converted to small micro hydro power generation sites.

Here are three examples of using nature's free gifts to make green power and this Village can now plan to create this power, when some financial incentives are available from the State or Federal programs.

Sustainable green planning is key to look around and find locations within the community that can help us receive the gifts of nature and help us achieve energy independence. Are you aware of what your gifts are in your community?

Go for it!

Sustainable Power for Small Consumers

We watch helplessly the perils of recent natural earthquake disaster in Japan. The question arises- can we live with less fear of loss of power, food, water and other resources? Can we learn to live with nature and understand how to use Nature's free gift of air, water, land, wind etc.? The answers lies in how we change our thinking and allow the development of local developments and produce our own resources.

"Net Zero" or "Energy Independent" community concepts are possible today if we are willing to invest and plan with long term in mind. There are real life examples of such communities in Europe that have shown that they need no oil or other resources imported to serve their needs.

Sun shines, Wind blows and precipitation falls on the land everywhere. The Smart Green communities accept it as gift from nature and use it locally to power their buildings, supply water to grow local food and recycle their wastes to make fertilizer to be applied back to the farms. In nature there is no waste. Everything can be used again and again.

Our Leaders at National, State, County, Town or Villages need to provide tax free bond funds to the local residents, institutions on a 30 to 40 year loan for investing in Nature based Green alternative energy and water& waste recycling technologies. The day of energy independence for America can come in 20- 30 years with such programs. Each community can exist as self reliant and not dependent on power made somewhere else and food grown and shipped from miles away. Let us empower local farmers and workforce to have jobs and economic development. Nature is trying to tell us something.. Force of the nature is immense and we need to act accordingly as we adopt and learn to live with it.
